Emma Watson on short haircut: "People asked if I was a lesbian"

Emma Watson has revealed what it was like dealing with negative reactions to her dramatic pixie hair cut last year.

Watson, who starred in all eight Harry Potter films, made the decision to cut her hair after filming on the fantasy franchise ended.

The haircut was met with a mixed reaction, though it was recently voted one of the most influential hairstyles of last year.

"I had journalists asking me if this meant I was coming out, if I was a lesbian now," she told The Independent.

Of the change, Watson went on to say: "[It] did make me realise how subjective everyone's opinion is. Some people were crazy for it and some people just thought I'd lost my [mind]."

Watson has since decided to grow out the hair for future roles.

Emma Watson recently starred in My Week with Marilyn, and will next star in The Perks of Being a Wallflower alongside Logan Lerman.
