Emma Watson and her pixie haircut -- soon to be covered in slime?
Emma Watson has a hair problem. It's not that she has too little; rather, for some people, she apparently has too little for their comfort.
When her locks went from profuse to pixie, she was asked by "journalists" if it meant she "was a lesbian now."
So said Watson last week to Britain's Independent newspaper, which noted that she rolled her eyes.
The haircut conjured strong and diverse reactions, she said, with some people "crazy for it and some people just thought I'd lost my ..."
At the end of that quote is a word one might not associate with a young Hermione Granger, but Watson is 21 years old now, and it's been a long time since she was 9 and cast in the "Harry Potter" role that was to consume a major portion of her childhood.
No worries, though Watson is now old enough to drink to her own success. As the new face of Lancme's Rouge in Love lipsticks, she could toast her success and leave a lip print on the cocktail glass too. While cussing, even.
Meantime, on the young-things front, Watson has been nominated for a Kids' Choice Award. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" is also among the nominees for top movie notably, it's the only movie among the four nominees that is not animated.
In the movie actress category, Watson will compete against Amy Adams, Kristen Stewart and Sofia Vergara. Notably, she's the only one among those nominees to have also been named "most influential hair" of 2011 an honor bestowed by the Wall Street Journal.
Tune in to the Kids' Choice Awards on March 31 to see Watson and her influential hair, potentially covered with green slime.
