Can Emma Watson Top Abs And A Cappella At MTV Movie Awards?

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards, which air this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, will add two new categories to the mix: Best Shirtless Performance and Best Musical Moment.

Taking a look at the latter category, you see the wide spectrum of what counts as a "musical moment." Sometimes that means Anne Hathaway singing live on set, and sometimes it means Channing Tatum's abs.

Anne Hathaway in "Les Misrables"
Though her performance as Fantine included scenes besides "I Dreamed a Dream," it really only took one shot to clinch Anne Hathaway the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her raw and real rendition of the classic Broadway tune broke hearts and astonished audiences with its beauty all at the same time.

Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash and Adam Rodriguez in "Magic Mike"
Of the five nominees for Best Musical Moment, only two of the five involve actual singing. Two involve dancing. And one involves a theater of woman screaming at the top of their lungs. "Magic Mike" became the surprise phenomenon of last summer, and it wasn't because of Steven Soderbergh's directing or Matthew McConaughey's singing voice. Just abs.

Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower"
The two dancing nominees on the list aren't here because of the skill involved. The nominees from "Perks of Being a Wallflower" are on the shortlist specifically because they look like they're just having so much fun. Like the rest of the movie, the dance scene with Charlie, Sam and Patrick takes us back to the good old days, remembering what it was like to dance and not really care.

Anna Kendrick, Re! bel Wilson, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Alexis Knapp, Ester Dean and Hana Mae Lee in "Pitch Perfect"
Who knew that Anna Kendrick, MTV Movie Awards host Rebel Wilson and the rest of the Barden Bellas had a killer rendition of Blackstreet's "No Diggity" in them? The song came out of nowhere and brought the band of misfit a cappella singers into one badass team.

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in "Silver Linings Playbook"
We know that Bradley Cooper's Pat and Jennifer Lawrence's Tiffany only needed to score a 5 for Pat Sr. to collect on his bet, but we'd give them a 10 &#8212 well, maybe a 6 or 7. The point is, Pat and Tiffany did what they set out to do and fell in love all at once.

Will Jennifer Lawrence get her silver lining in the form of a Golden Popcorn? Which beefcake will sizzle in our brand-new Best Shirtless Performance category? It's up to you to decide the winners of the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, so vote now! Tune in Sunday, April 14, at 8:30 p.m. for our live red-carpet pre-show, and at 9 p.m., star Rebel Wilson takes the stage at the Sony Pictures Studios lot in Culver City, California, for the main event.
