She often sticks to dark romantic styles when taking to the red carpet but last night (Thursday) Emma Watson experimented with bold and bright colours.
The British actress,22, stepped out in a dazzling Peter Pilotto outfit from the Resort 2013 collection to attend the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
The fiery orange top consisted of geometric shapes with mesh paneling and the use of colour blocking, meaning there was no chance she would be left looking like a wallflower at the event.

The mis-matched structured skirt, which boasted a hypnotic embroidered pattern, highlighted Emma's trim legs and tiny waist.
Given that actress Emma was attending the event as a spectator and to present an award rather than receive one, she certainly managed to outshine some of the musicians with her fun and flirty look.
The British beauty wore a braid around her head and peep-toe lace-up Tom Ford heels.

The actress is currently promoting her latest film The Perks of Being A Wallflower and she arrived on the red carpet with her co-star Erza Miller, who had stepped out in a flamboyant brown suit for the occasion.
The film, also starring Percy Jackson heartthrob Logan Lerman, follows two seniors who welcome a shy freshman under their wings.

Emma recently offered a little insight on her new role, telling Glamour magazine it was the realisation she needed that acting is the right career for her - despite 10 years of Potter life.
She said: 'Making this movie was so pivotal for me because I realised I do really want to be an actress, which wasnt something I fully knew, since Harry Potter was such a singular experience.
'Obviously Im nervous to see what other people think, but it kind of doesnt matter to me. Its so chee! sy to say! this, but its the journey, not the end goal, thats important.'
