EMMA Watson is clearly undergoing the same fashion dilemmas we are in the current weather.

The Harry Potter actress stepped out on The Perks of Being A Wallflower red-carpet last night looking like she'd had a last-minute change of heart when it came to her outfit.

Opting for an all-black ensemble, Emma Watson caused a fashion faux pas in her black balloon-skirted prom dress by teaming it with black suit trousers.

The usually bang-on-trend star, who had jetted in from the US for the London premiere, looked as though she'd decided to wear the dress before she landed in the UK and realised we're in the midst of a cold snap.

We're guessing this would account for why she teamed the pretty dress - which featured a bandeau neckline - with trousers, as we wouldn't typically expect her to put the two together.

Donning pointed black stilettos for the occasion, Emma added a flash of red lipstick and a silver chain necklace to complete her look for her appearance at The May Fair Hotel.

Despite her odd fashion choice, Emma didn't seem too fazed by what the fashy critics might say as she beamed for snappers at the event.

The look was of stark contrast to the white halterneck dress she wore for the film's premiere in New York, where she flaunted her enviable pins thanks to the super-short hemline.
