Emma Watson, Logan Lerman in 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' clip

A new clip from The Perks of Being a Wallflower has been released.

Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and We Need To Talk About Kevin star Ezra Miller feature in the clip.

Lerman stars as introverted teenager Charlie, who is struggling to cope with mental illness, the suicide of his best friend and his sense of social isolation, and is given a new lease of life when he meets a group of kindred spirits.

Paul Rudd, Nina Dobrev, Dylan McDermott, Kate Walsh and Mae Whitman round out the cast of the film, which is adapted by writer-director Stephen Chbosky from his own novel of the same name.

Watson has stated that the film helped her leave her role in Harry Potter behind.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower opens in the US on September 14, and on October 3 in the UK.
