Emma Watson: I haven't read 50 Shades Of Grey and no one's sent me a film script
Emma Watson's new film The Perks Of Being A Wallflower is released in October
Emma Watson has dismissed rumours that she's in talks to play Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of erotic novel Fifty Shades Of Grey.
The actress had been tipped as a hot favourite to star as the student who falls for disturbed businessman Christian Grey - but Emma says she's heard nothing from movie makers.
'I haven't read the book, I haven't a read a script, nothing,' says Emma, 22.
'There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - I never even saw a script!'
Emma admits that even her close friends and family have asked her if she's landed a part in the sexy movie.
The Harry Potter star - whose new film The Perks Of Being A Wallflower is released in October - had to explain to them that she hasn't been approached.
'I told them just because there are 60 articles on the internet doesn't mean it's any less true than if there are three or four,' Emma tells Entertainment Weekly.
'The thing is I'm not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement.'
