Emma Watson terrified by trespasser in woods while filming new film Noah in New York

Emma Watson is currently filming biblical movie Noah with Russell Crowe

Emma Watson got a fright when she was confronted by a trespasser while filming new movie Noah in New York woodlands over the weekend.

The man tried to hand Emma, 22, a letter before running into the trees, where he was chased by on-set bodyguards.

'She recognised him from hanging around outside her house and screamed,' says a source.

'Police were called and he was removed by security. It was really creepy. Emma was really shaken up and was given some time to compose herself.'

The man was warned for trespassing on the set of the biblical movie, which also stars Russell Crowe and is due for release in 2014.

This isn't the first time that Emma's been targeted in this way - she was stalked by a man in his 20s when she was 16 and was last year assigned a full-time police protection officer after someone sent her letters at Brown University.

'It's been a really tough shoot for her,' the insider tells The Sun.

'The movie has been gruelling anyway and this left a very sinister feeling hanging over the set.'
