Emma Watson, Wiz Khalifa Tweet From Movie Awards
UNIVERSAL CITY, California We're glad we weren't the only ones having a great time at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night. Some of our favorite celebrities in attendance took to Twitter to share with the world that MTV's annual celebration of film was just as fun in person as it was to watch on the small screen.
Following her presentation of the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" trailer and the "Harry Potter" wins for Best Cast and Best Hero, Emma Watson took to Twitter to thank the one group of people who have always stood behind her: her fans.
The performers of the night were also quick to share their excitement about performing on the Gibson Amphitheatre stage. Opening band Fun. tweeted that they "had a blast" at the MTV Movie Awards, and we bet they're even more thrilled now that they know Vanilla Ice enjoyed their performance as well.
Janelle Mone, who performed alongside Fun., thanked the band for allowing her to participate. "Thank you @ournameisfun for having me on The MTV Movie Awards!!!" she said. "Very fun! ;-) Proud of you! :)" She then became the envy of many when she tweeted a picture alongside Johnny Depp.
Wiz Khalifa, who took the stage later during the Movie Awards, gave us a running commentary of the show from his seat. Following the debut of his song "Work Hard, Play Hard," he tweeted, "Thnx Guys!!! I Shredded That Bitch :! -)," and later addedthat he "made love to tha stage." It was only later that he noticed, "Haha My Shirt Said Sex." He also must have gotten a kick out of Charlie Sheen tweeting at him. Wiz's fiance, Amber Rose, tweeted how proud she was of her "baby."
"The Hunger Games" stars were psyched to dominate the MTV Movie Awards with four wins, but Elizabeth Banks was more excited about how she was "literally carried away" before she could thank her fans. Alexander Ludwig just couldn't get over the fact that he had won his first Golden Popcorn (for Best Fight), tweeting, "the mtv awards...what a surreal night. can't thank my fans enough. i definitely wouldn't be here without u....peace."
"The Twilight Saga" stars just had fun hanging out at the Movie Awards, especially since it's basically their second home by now. "Thanks @thePaulMcDonald for documenting my 'lowest' moments. Get it? Lowest?" Nikki Reed tweeted along with a picture of her and Jackson Rathbone looking indignant about their lack of popcorn (edible, not Golden). Rathbone also tweeted up a storm from his Movie Awards seat.
And how can we forget our illustrious host? Russell Brand only tweeted o! ne pictu re from his time on host duty, and it's one of the cutest things we've seen in a while. "My highlight of the MTV Movie awards," he wrote, along with a picture of him and his "nan" on the Movie Awards stage. All together now: Awwww.
Jaw-dropping, heart-pounding, gut-busting moments galore. See what went down at the 21st annual MTV Movie Awards!
