Animal Lovers Target 'Harry Potter' Actress Emma Watson

Emma Watson looked a more like Paris Hilton when she stepped out with her freshly-dyed pooch this weekend.

We didn't have you down as a Barbie girl, Emma!

The 'Harry Potter' actress has turned her tiny white bichon frise a shocking shade of bubblegum pink and, no, she didn't do it with the wave of a magic wand. In fact, Emma took her pooch to the salon for a 90 dye job.

And animal lovers are SO not happy about it.

TV vet Emma Milne told the Daily Mail that Emma's actions are completely irresponsible and will, most likely, make it difficult for her pampered pooch to interact with other dogs:

"Dogs are not playthings; they are not dolls. If you are putting a chemical on a dogs fur, you could cause that dog problems."

"Even if the dye is completely safe and the [beetroot-based] dye that Emma Watson has used should be absolutely fine you are still altering the way the dog looks and smells to other animals. Potentially, it could have an effect on the way that dog interacts with other dogs."

Emma was spotted out with Darcy, who didn't look too bothered by her new brand-new hue, in East London after having him dyed at Groom Dog City.

Owner Stuart Simons explained that it isn't the first time the 'Harry Potter' actress has transformed her doggy's 'do:

"Emma has dyed Darcy twice... Because Darcy is white, it takes really well. 'She is a very calm dog, absolutely lovely, and she enjoys her groom."

We imagine she thinks she looks (ahem) furry nice.

Emma Milne ephasised that, no matter how safe the dye job, a dog should not have its appearance changed against its will:

"A dog is still a living object that hasnt had any s! ay on wh ether it wants to be pink."
