Emma Watson cast in Sofia Coppola's 'The Bling Ring' film

Emma Watson is continuing to build her post "Harry Potter" acting resume and recently nabbed a role in a new Sofia Coppola movie.

The actress will star in "The Bling Ring," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film is based on the true story of a group of celebrity-obsessed teens who broke into the homes of stars like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton.

The film is set to shoot in the spring in Los Angeles and will feature an ensemble cast. "I'm excited about the young cast we're assembling and I'm looking forward to shooting on location here in Los Angeles," Coppola said in a statement to the outlet.

Watson is also attached to the "Beauty and! the Bes t" project with director Guillermo del Toro. She has also been cast in "Your Voice in My Head" set to be directed by David Yates, who helmed "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2."

She also has a role in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." Watson appeared in "My Week With Marilyn" late last year.

It was reported in July 2011 that the "Harry Potter" actress was going to attend Oxford University in England as part of a study abroad program.

In March, the 21-year-old actress announced on her official website that she was taking time off from her studies at Brown University to focus on her career and promote "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," the final film in the hit fantasy series, which was released on July 15.

"I'm still a student at Brown," The Virginian-Pilot quoted Watson as saying in an interview to promote the new "Harry Potter" movie. "It's just that I'll spend my third year abroad at Oxford. Then I'll return to Brown to complete my last year."

Watson began her studies at Brown in the fall of 2009. She has denied reports that she had been bullied during her time there but said that students often quoted lines from! the "Ha rry Potter" series to her.
