In a new interview with the NY Times, Emma, 21, opens up about the traditions she missed out on during high school.

“Oh my goodness, so many firsts. I did the prom! We all get dressed up and we go in a limo, and get photographs. It’s been really fun for me to get to graduate. Eating in the school canteen; all these things that I’ve always sort of said to my American friends, ‘Oh, that looks amazing, that looks so fun, I’m jealous.’ And I get to do it for this movie,” Emma shared.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower debuts in theaters next year.

Emma Watson sits next to Eddie Redmayne in this new still from My Week with Marilyn.

The 21-year-old actress plays Lucy in the flick which focuses on Marilyn Monroe’s (Michelle Williams) trip to England in the summer of 1956 to film The Prince and The Showgirl opposite Sir Laurence Olivier (Kenneth Branagh).

There she meets a production assistant Colin Clark (Redmayne), who helps her escape the Hollywood hustle and bustle, if only for a week.
